About us

WHO ARE WE?

Hello, I’m Gareth, the proud owner and operator of Outside Cleaners Ltd.

Several years ago, I embarked on a journey to establish Outside Cleaners, driven by a passion for delivering top-notch exterior cleaning services across Auckland’s North Shore, Hibiscus Coast, Rodney District, and extending up to Warkworth.

My mission? To leave you in awe with our exceptional service and remarkable results, prompting you to spread the word among your friends and family.

Before diving into the world of exterior cleaning, I gained experience in various fields—tree work, landscaping, painting, plastering, building, roofing, and more. While I may not hold formal qualifications in these areas, my hands-on approach and thirst for learning have equipped me with a diverse skill set. Whether it’s surfing, fishing, or rock climbing, I thrive on outdoor activities and practical challenges.

My true expertise lies in meticulous attention to detail, unwavering standards of excellence, and a relentless drive to acquire new skills and knowledge. With integrity, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for my work, I strive to exceed your expectations and leave you thoroughly impressed.

Thank you for indulging me with this brief overview. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to serve you, delivering outstanding service and transforming your property into a stunning showcase.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can water blasting damage my property?

Yes, it can. We generally recommend soft washing as much as possible. Soft washing uses a mix of bleach, citrus degreaser and detergent to loosen and break down any mould, algae, fungus and dirt. It is then rinsed with low pressure (soft enough to put your hand over the nozzle). When washing bare timber (unpainted) we use medium pressure and a wide fan keeping well away from the timber. There is a soft wash option for timber that isn’t as effective at restoring it to a new look as using medium pressure but helps keep it looking silvery. We use different pressure for different concrete, if you have exposed aggregate it is very strong and can take any pressure. If your concrete has a smooth finish it has cement as the top surface which can be taken off if too much pressure is used. In this case, we change the method we clean it with preventing that from happening. If you have any questions about other cleaning processes please let us know.

How much water does a house clean use?

An average size house clean uses 2000 litres. 1000 litres of water costs $1.52 and 1000 litres of waste water costs $2.62 so an average house wash will use around $8.28 of water.

How do I get a Quote?

Get in touch with us however it suits you and we can give you a quote either in person or over the phone.

When do we pay you?

On completion of the job, we will invoice you normally by email. When you have checked our work and are elated with the result you can pay by internet banking, cheque, or in-person with gold growling “yarr matey” while waving your hook around and standing on your peg leg with a parrot on your shoulder. Any method is happily accepted.
